The Outcast with the Strawberry Patch
It’s 1887 in rural Iowa, and an outcast’s faith in God is tested when she faces the realities of a broken world.
Suffering the rejection of the townspeople, Mané Herus lives with her mother, Charmante, and Gran as she faces the heartache that comes with being visually different. Mané has alopecia, along with some POTS symptoms and hypermobile EDS, which have no names in 1887. The family is known for their strawberry production, which brings in good money without having to plant a lot. But when it seems God strips away nearly all she has, Mané has her faith put to the test.
